Robert “B.B.” Strenge
Born: June 12, 1980 | Homegoing: December 25, 2014
B.B. was born in Houston, TX, a healthy 7lb 6oz bouncing boy. Early in his young life Bob and I relied on the Lord to give us wisdom in how to raise him. We were given the opportunity to fall in love with B.B. before knowing his challenges. Our love of him helped us overcome and we promised each other that B.B. would only live where he could be surrounded by those who considered him family. B.B.’s smile made that task all the easier. As he gained a new sister and three new brothers, he was continually shown great love and they always understood that B.B’s needs would come first.
On Christmas morning, 2014, B.B. saw the face of Jesus and it took his breath away, broke his shackles, and released his soul to fly to home. He was no longer bound by an earthly body, but free to go straight into the arms of Jesus. B.B. openly expressed love for Jesus, family, friends, and all manner of people. There were no barriers between Jesus and B.B. After every conversation he would have a smile on his face, but was never one to let us in on the secrets.
BB is survived by his parents, Robert “Bob” Lee Strenge, and Era Jean “Jeanie” Strenge; siblings, Kelly Lee Austin & spouse Michael Philip Austin, Marcus Alan Strenge, Lucas Kary Strenge & spouse Kyla Lillian Strenge, Randall Gary Strenge; nieces, Sarah Joan Austin, and Charlotte Jean Austin; grandmothers, Annie Faye Gould & Hazel Celia Strenge; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends the world over.
He was preceded by his grandfathers, Eilert Johnson Strenge, and Charles Gary Gould, Sr.; his Uncle “JR” Gould; and many other aunts and uncles and cousins – too many to name.
